The Non-Executive Director Development Programme 2020
27 February 2020
- Uncategorized
FWB Park Brown and The University of Edinburgh Business School are delighted to launch the Non-Executive Director Programme 2020 – back for a fourth year amidst huge demand and over-subscribed last year. This practical programme, led by experienced Chairs and NXDs, focuses on key issues which every NXD should be aware of and caters for those with interests in all types and sizes of organisations – listed, private, entrepreneurial, SMEs, public sector and not-for-profit. After an introductory launch on 4th March, the Programme kicks off on 26th March with a session designed to bring NXDs together with the Boards of growing companies:
[heading subtitle=” Helping Businesses Succeed: A Practical Session Focusing on Potential NXD Opportunities”]Session One – 26 March 2020[/heading]
Putting knowledge into action: a chance to meet CEOs and businesses at critical stages of growth looking to expand their boards.
This session will focus on several businesses in the fast growth stage. The CEOs will come and share with individual groups of delegates the challenges and opportunities facing their companies. This is an opportunity for NXDs to contribute to Board discussions and develop relationships with businesses requiring their input as NXDs to help with future growth.
The businesses will cover a range of sectors, providing significant scope for all delegates to learn about and advise on specific issues relating to the companies’ growth and development, such as:
- Funding
- Sales and growth strategies
- Internationalisation
- Team building
- Challenges they have faced and are facing
- Any other topics specific to their businesses
We are delighted that Ian Ritchie, who is very experienced in chairing successful start-ups and fast-growth companies, will be speaking at and facilitating throughout this event, sharing important and relevant information to both NXDs and CEOs in a very practical and interactive format. Conversations will be under Chatham House Rule but non-confidential; should further discussions be desired, we can facilitate NDAs at a later date.
