Scott Black to Step Back

As part of a transition in the leadership of the business, it’s been agreed with Scott Black that he will begin to step back from his role as Managing Director and complete the process by the end of this year. His executive responsibilities will be taken over by the Executive Leadership team.

Scott will continue to be involved in the business, remaining on the board in a Non-Executive capacity.

Scott co-founded FWB in 1993 with Judy Wagner and Willie Finlayson and has been Managing Director through much of its development, including significant organic and inorganic growth as well as the sale of the business through VIMBO in 2016. FWB is now a well -established and a highly regarded business within UK professional services and as such is well positioned to take advantage of further market opportunities. Scott feels that it’s the right time for both the business and himself to make this change.

Commenting, he said

“It’s a big moment in my career, however it feels like the right thing for us to do and at the right time. Judy, Willie and I have enjoyed a unique relationship and while I’ve been MD through most of it, what we achieved we achieved together along with the teams and now management team we helped to build along the way. Having sold the business in 2016 and worked closely with our buy out team since then, it’s now time for them to take the business forward. In my new role, I will provide support and advice as and when required.”
