Scott co-founded FWB in 1993 and was Managing Director until Dec 2024, when he stepped back while remaining on the company board.

As MD, Scott led the growth and development of the company, which included several transactions and launches of FWB Consulting ltd and FWB Inc in the USA. He also led the sale of the entire business from its founders to several senior employees in Dec 2016.

During his recruitment career, he worked closely with a range of public, private and third sector companies and organisations, supporting them with their senior appointments and providing related consulting.

Scott has held several Board/Trustee appointments for organisations including The Edinburgh International Festival, Newlands Junior College, Scottish Chambers of Commerce, Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce [ as President for 4 years ] and as an Independent Trustee for a private family trust. He is currently a Trustee of Athletics Trust Scotland.
