As part of a Journey to CFO Series of events we were delighted to partner with Grant Thornton on a ‘First 100 Days of a CFO' event to mark the launch of their recent CFO survey and report on this topic. We were joined by first-time and soon-to-be CFOs who were interested in hearing from an exceptional line-up of speakers and developing a peer-to-peer network of like-minded professionals on a similar career and development journey. We were lucky to be joined by three excellent speakers, all at different points in their CFO journeys and with stories to tell.

The Port of Leith Distillery recently provided a stunning backdrop for a roundtable dinner hosted by FWB in partnership with Johnston Carmichael Chartered Accountants. Ian Stirling, the passionate and impressive founder and co-CEO of Muckle Brig Ltd, led the event, which featured a distillery tour and dinner in the Quality Control Room. The evening brought together a diverse group of business leaders from across the whisky industry, including suppliers, start-ups, investors, and global industry leaders. The discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry today.

The Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) 2024 recently launched with a session on Developing and Implementing Strategy. The NXD Development Programme launched this month with a session on ‘Board Papers—the Good, the Bad and the Ugly’, led by Niamh Corbett of Board Intelligence, a leading business reporting company.
