About the role

GAP’s vision is to be the most innovative hire solutions provider, to lead the industry and have a real impact on key decisions that influence the hire sector. Substantial opportunity for growth has created the need for an outstanding Sales Director to join the Board. The Sales Director will take responsibility for devising and delivering the Group’s Sales, Business Development and Marketing Strategies, ownership of the GAP message and brand and provide leadership and development to the Sales and Marketing teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a sales and marketing strategy in line with business objectives, with special emphasis on generating high quality, profitable new business
- Prepare annual sales budget in conjunction with Operations Directors
- Work closely with the Head of Commercial to ensure all tenders, proposals and agreement renewals are completed to the highest standard
- Develop and implement best in class sales operating practices
- Build and maintain relationships with GAP’s major revenue generating accounts
- Deliver presentations to major customers and present new business ideas to the Board
- Regular review of sales incentives to help attract and retain the strongest talent in the Sales team
We are looking to appoint an extremely bright, highly credible Sales Director with excellent organisational and communication skills, combined with the experience to innovate, drive change and add value in all areas of the business. We are flexible on sector, but successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leadership of large teams, developing relationships and generating significant growth, ideally in a similar B2B sales environment. Ideally, the role will be based in the GAP Head Office in Glasgow, with regular travel throughout the UK.
