Operations Director
About the role
Mount Stuart is Britain’s most astounding Victorian gothic mansion. Home to the Stuarts of Bute, descendants of the Royal House of Stuart, this magnificent house sits proudly on the Isle of Bute.
The Trust’s Board wish to appoint an Operations Director (OD) to lead the development and implementation of the Trust’s long term strategy, the day-to-day operations / management decisions of the business, and head the team responsible for the effective implementation and delivery of all activities on Bute. Reporting to the Board, the OD will be responsible for the operational and budgetary management of the 10,900 Ha multi-enterprise estate including residential, commercial and let agricultural portfolios, together with Mount Stuart House and its 120 Ha of woods and gardens which encompass heritage attractions, venue management and visitor services, employing circa 45 permanent staff and up to 35 temporary staff during the season.
