Non-Executive Director

Business Stream is one of the largest water retailers in the UK and a trusted service provider to over 300,000 businesses, from small corner shops to large industrial customers the length and breadth of the UK, providing a seamless service and expert, insight-driven solutions to their water challenges.

Business Stream is a 100% owned subsidiary of Scottish Water Business Stream Holdings Limited, part of the Scottish Water Group. The business employs c.300 people, with turnover forecast at c.£740million for 2024/25.

Business Stream are looking to add a high calibre Non-Executive Director (NXD) to its Board during a transformational period for the organisation. This individual will be a key senior adviser and guide for the future and will work with the Board and Executive Leadership Team in delivering the business strategy, with a key focus on continuing to evolve and enhance their service offering and achieving ambitious growth targets.

We are looking for an experienced NXD who has ideally had exposure to regulated markets or consumer-focussed businesses and can provide strategic insight, skills and expertise to the Board, including constructive challenge, guidance and advice to the Executive Directors.

You will be a credible and impactful NXD, able to bring energy, diversity of thought and strategic acumen to board discussion.  Like Business Stream, you will be passionate about the customer with a mindset that puts them at the heart of decision making.
