Middle East Advisor – Oilfield Services

Our client provides products, services and bespoke solutions to clients across drilling, production and decommissioning market sectors. The company operates worldwide across four distinct Business Units: Subsea Production Controls; Production Equipment and Services; Drilling Controls and Field Technology Services. It is currently restructuring and developing a revised long-term strategy. As part of this process it is looking to appoint an Advisor for the Middle East region.

The company has been established within the Middle East for a number of years and has a strong and experienced executive in place within the region and annual revenues of circa $70m. Part of its growth plan is to maximise the opportunities offered within the region and with that purpose in mind the company seeks to appoint an Advisor to the Board with specific regional knowledge, experience and influence.

The ideal profile of a suitable Advisor would be an individual with a number of years direct experience of growing an oil & gas business within the region, culturally attuned and integrated within the region, ideally Arabic speaking, and possessing an influential network of contacts.

The appointee will advise the Board on appropriate strategic matters, provide insight on regional business and geo-political dynamics, and mentor and support the regional executive team. Acknowledging that the Middle East region places a high value on developing strong relationships, the appointee will also possess the credibility to leverage their networks to the organisation’s potential advantage when the company is seeking new business opportunities.
