Scottish Futures Trust

SFT is Scottish Government’s centre of infrastructure expertise. It works across the public and private sectors to improve long-term infrastructure strategy, innovates to bring in additional investment and collaborates to deliver projects effectively and make the best use of existing assets. SFT also has an investment subsidiary, SFTi, which holds minority investments in 41 community infrastructure public private partnership projects and a number of mid-market housing joint ventures.

The new Corporate Plan is being developed to shape SFT’s work through to the end of the decade and Scottish Government is looking to make these two public appointments to play significant roles in helping the organisation to achieve its strategic infrastructure goals.

Board Role One – Chair of the Audit Committee

Senior Level Financial Experience with a recognised accountancy qualification and/or equivalent acceptable experience

Experience of serving on an Audit Committee or Chairing any Committee within an organisation of similar size and complexity to SFT

Board Role Two

Experience of Public Sector Infrastructure – preferably practical operations experience in placing contracts with third party contractors and delivering significant capital programmes.
