In 2017, South-Africa headquartered Sappi acquired Rockwell Solutions, a global leading supplier of speciality and value-added Lidding Films for the food industry. Today, Sappi Rockwell services some 70% of the convenience food market lidding films in the UK.

In line with the ambitious growth plans of the business, Sappi Rockwell Solutions are looking to appoint an exceptionally talented Managing Director, based at the production facilities in Dundee, to join the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for continuing to grow and improve the business.

Reporting directly to the Sappi Europe VP of Manufacturing and working closely with senior colleagues across the business, the successful candidate will have the full suite of management functions reporting to them including Finance, HR, Sales, Production/Manufacturing, Engineering and Product Development as well as having full P&L responsibility.

We are looking for candidates that are highly motivated to succeed and have exceptional leadership and communication skills. It would be highly attractive if candidates have experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Candidates should also be able to demonstrate:

• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate with others to achieve results and meet business targets
• A good understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies and manufacturing excellence
• Experience of strategic planning, financial management and people management
• The ability to focus on driving sales and growth
• Proven abilities in product development and innovation are highly attractive
