Independent Non-Executive Director
About the role
The Scottish Football Association exists to inspire the nation and transform lives through the power of football.
For 150 years the Association has overseen our national game at all levels, from the men's and women's international teams to the development of football at grassroots level, as well as the organisation of one of the oldest knockout competitions in the world, the men's Scottish Cup, to one of the newest, the Women's Scottish Cup.
It owns and operates Hampden Park, oversees the implementation of VAR and Referee Operations, and supports members and affiliated associations across the country.
The Power of Football is the ambitious five-year strategic plan created to enhance the game's impact at all levels – including elite performance, girls' and women's football, participation, coach education, infrastructure development, and equality and diversity.
To help drive the organisation forward, the Scottish FA is seeking to appoint an Independent Non-Executive Director to support its existing board members and the executive leadership team.

- Chairing of the Remuneration Committee and engagement with members to ensure the organisation operates fairly, and employs fair and competitive remuneration policies
- Providing input and support to explore routes for funding to facilitate investment in grass-roots facilities and infrastructure across the nation
- Engagement with the Scottish and UK governments to promote our national game and its accessibility for all, as well as support in managing appropriate public affairs with governing bodies including UEFA and FIFA
