ICAS Secretary
About the role
ICAS is going through an exciting period of change and strategic focus in line with, and in anticipation of, the changing nature of the accounting profession.
This is therefore an exciting time for a skilled Company Secretary / Lawyer / CA to join the leadership team responsible for building on the heritage and success of the past and evolving ICAS to meet the challenges of the future. The successful candidate will join an organisation with truly global influence and significant local relevance and help to shape and govern the evolution and next chapter of its prestigious history.
The ICAS Secretary is a strategic position of considerable responsibility and visibility at the heart of ICAS governance operations.
They will be responsible for a multi layered governance structure including Executive Team, Council, Oversight Board and Operational Boards and Committees, and report to the Chief Executive and to the Office Bearers. Responsibilities strike a balance between advisory and administration.
First and foremost the ICAS Secretary will be: a skilled communicator and influencer; an experienced commercial and strategic business partner; and highly organised with experience of driving operational efficiencies and process improvement.
The ICAS Secretary will have strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, a high quality of attention to detail and able to build trust, confidence and rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders across what is a complex structure. They will show clear strength in character, resilience and composure, be a forward thinking sophisticated communicator, operating with maturity and gravitas and with a track record of managing and navigating change in a ‘political’ environment.
