Head of Engineering
About the role
Edinburgh Airport is a multi-award winning business. It is Scotland’s busiest airport and the 3rd busiest in the UK with more than 40 airlines serving over 100 destinations. c11m passengers will travel through the airport in 2015.
The Airport is continuing to implement a major investment programme including a new security hall and baggage handling system. This new role is designed to lead the engineering function to support this investment programme as well as BAU.
Suitable candidates will have a background in delivering operational excellence within an engineering or related environment. Experience of a live 24/7 environment where reliability and resilience would be attractive. They will be looking for an opportunity which will provide them with the scope to show initiative and also develop their career.
It is more important that the candidate is a business leader rather than technical expert as they will be able to draw on the experience within the team.
