Financial Controller, Europe

Our Client is a leading provider of specialist safety equipment to the global offshore oil and gas industry. The European business, which encompasses operational hubs in both Aberdeen, UK and Stavanger, Norway, forms a critical part of a broader group organisation headquartered in the US. The group organisation is highly diverse and active in various markets, providing a strong and stable platform for future growth. With revenue of circa $40m in Europe, the region is regarded as a key strategic location for the business.

Following a successful period of sustained growth and development, the organisation seeks to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to lead and manage the European finance function. Based in Aberdeen, the Financial Controller is responsible for all aspects of the finance function including management reporting and the provision of financial management information to enable business insight and informed commercial decision-making, as well as reporting and compliance. The individual will also support the region’s migration to a new ERP system.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with working knowledge of US GAAP, IRFS, UK GAAP and internal controls. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also critical to the role, as the Financial Controller will partner closely with business operations and will collaborate effectively with finance teams across the global Group organisation.
