Park Circus www.parkcircus.com was established in Scotland, in 2003. It is a globally recognised Theatrical and Home Entertainment distributor of classic films, distributing back catalogues on behalf of major Hollywood, British and French studios including Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Disney, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros, A24, ITV, Pathe, Studiocanal, and Channel 4. PCL distributes over 25,000 films, and it licenses thousands of screenings per year around the world to cinema chains, independent cinemas, festivals and cinematheques.

Park Circus was acquired by Arts Alliance Ventures in September 2014 and now has a team of 32 people with sales presence in Glasgow, London, Paris, Los Angeles and Sydney.

The opportunity

In order to support our ambitious growth plans, Park Circus is seeking to fill the newly created role of CFO. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the business, including managing and developing the finance team of 7 people.
We are looking for an experienced and confident CFO who can engage with the Board and investors to analyse potential transactions or investments, for example acquiring other companies, creating JVs or investing in new business areas. The role will also involve taking responsibility for the complex tax structure and consolidated accounts arising from an organisation that has corporate entities in France, UK and USA.

  • Financial Systems, Controls, Reporting
  • Tax, Compliance, Payroll, Insurance
  • Financial Planning, Budgets, Re-Forecasting
  • Strategic Initiatives/JV/M&A
  • Performance and Process Improvements
  • Maintaining a High Performing and Engaged Team Culture
