Financial Controller (Head of Finance)

This successful private group of companies with an annual turnover of c£80m is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller.  The role reports to the Group Managing Director and will therefore be the finance ‘lead’ in the business.

The group mainly consists of 2 major businesses each with their own senior leadership team, so this role involves a blend of group accounting and providing financial support to these subsids.  There is a small central finance team and also finance staff in each of these two main businesses.

They are looking to appoint a qualified Accountant who will get in and about the businesses, really understand what makes them tick and therefore be able to make a contribution at both a financial control and management level through being able to bring the numbers to life.

This role could suit either an experienced person looking for a change of scene or someone looking to make a step up to this level.  Either way, what we are looking for is the enthusiasm and energy required to really get on top of the job and make a telling contribution.

Base salary is likely to be in the c£60k to £70k range with benefits.
