Deputy Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
About the role

As a newly created role, Dundee University are seeking to appoint a Deputy Director of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion. This is a permanent position which will lead a small team and report into the Director of Strategic Change & Delivery. As a Scottish institution home to a community of 17,000 students and over 3,000 members of staff, this is a crucial appointment for the university which will be responsible for developing and leading a new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team. Leading on the development, delivery, and measurement, across the institution, the EDI strategy and will help deliver the University's ambitious and challenging equality outcomes.
Candidates should have:
- A Proven ability as a value led, effective leader who achieves results.
- Proven success in using data/insights to develop and evolve EDI strategies and projects.
- Experience of effective change management with a track record of making a positive difference during times of change.
- Business and financial acumen with a well-developed understanding of risk and risk management.
- Exemplary programme and project management skills with ability to supervise delivery across multiple tasks and deadlines.
This position is based at the Dundee City Campus (minimum 2/3 days a week onsite).
