Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director EMEA

Our client is a privately owned transportation and support services company, operating internationally from its Glasgow headquarters. This highly profitable business has grown rapidly over the past few years to its current £35m turnover and this trajectory is set to continue. It is a market leader in terms of product offering, bespoke software and customer service, each of which has been crucial to its success. The business enjoys long term relationships with blue chip clients including global banks and major brands and works internationally as a trusted partner to these organisations.

Due to the significant growth of the business, the role of Chief Operating Officer & MD EMEA has been newly created, reporting to the Chief Executive. The role will be directly responsible for the P&L of the EMEA Region (currently £16m and growing fast) and at the same time have dotted line responsibility for the US and APAC General Managers to maintain global consistency as the business expands. Successful candidates will have experience of operational management, driving performance and motivating a multi-cultural team which is dispersed across the globe. Previous international experience is crucial. Although sector experience isn’t a pre-requisite, it would however be useful to have a background in service and a passion for quality.
