SSPCA - Chief Executive

The role of Chief Executive of the Scottish SPCA is one of the highest profile and most impactful third sector roles in Scotland.

You will be leading an organisation with an iconic brand and a highly talented and committed team of Executive and Non-Executive colleagues and volunteers – all bound by an unswerving sense of purpose to ‘make Scotland the best place in the world for an animal to call home’.

The CEO has a genuine ability to impact broader Scottish Society, and we see an inextricable welfare link between animals, people and the environment. As such there is a significant external focus with partners in Scottish Communities such as Nature Scot, Citizen’s Advice, Police Scotland and SAMH – as well as peer animal welfare organisations across the UK and beyond.

This is a pivotal point in the 185 year history of the Scottish SPCA and there is much still much to do to achieve our ambitions, bringing innovation to the way we deliver our services and ensuring that the Scottish SPCA continues to modernise and provide sustainable lifeline services to the animals and people of Scotland, long into the future.

You will be a strong commercial leader, able to demonstrate a track record of delivering significant income growth through leveraging brand and marketing capabilities.

We are looking for a passionate, driven and inspirational CEO with experience of guiding an organisation through transformational and operational change who is excited about leading one of Scotland’s most respected and loved charities.
