Non-Executive Director

Johnston Carmichael, Scotland’s largest independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers is seeking a dynamic individual to join as a Non-Executive Director to their Audit Board. Established in 1936, our firm has over 850 staff and 69 partners and is a member of the Moore Global Network, connecting to 30,000 professionals across 260 firms and 100 countries.

As part of the implementation of the revised Audit Firm Governance Code, Johnston Carmichael is establishing an Audit Board to ensure stringent oversight and governance of its Audit and Assurance Business Line. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in fortifying the foundations of the firm’s audit service quality. We’re looking for a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of the UK audit market, regulatory frameworks, and audit reform initiatives. Experience as a partner in an audit practice or in senior finance roles with exposure to external audit is essential. Previous involvement with governance structures, particularly Audit Committees, is highly desirable.
