Operations Manager

Founded in 1972 and headquartered in the Central Belt of Scotland, Murray Plant is a leading UK supplier of plant attachments to the demolition, construction, waste and mining sectors. Murray Plant was acquired by The Blue Group in 2018 and as part of an ambitious UK-wide growth strategy would like to hire an Operations Manager to help deliver this.

Murray Plant has grown rapidly, almost quadrupling turnover over the last three years and growing to 22 employees. The Operations Manager will lead an expanding team (currently 15 people) including Service, Parts, Workshop and the Field Service Engineers and professionalise the business as it develops, focusing in particular on efficiency and profitable growth. The Operations Manager will experience full control over all aspects of the operational side of the business and will be expected to develop and implement their own strategies. We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Operations Manager or General Manager who has excellent leadership skills and ideally (although not essentially) who has experience within the construction machinery sector. Longer term, for the successful candidate there is a very significant career opportunity both within Murray Plant and more broadly within The Blue Group.
