Trusts & Giving Manager
About the role
CLAN Cancer Support is a charity that has been serving anyone affected by cancer throughout the north of Scotland, Orkney & Shetland for over 30 years. CLAN has grown hugely as an organisation and provides its unique model of free emotional and practical support and support to all ages through facilities at CLAN House and Haven in Aberdeen and community bases. CLAN employs 70 staff, a team of counsellors and therapists, and over 400 volunteers who actively assist in the provision of frontline support services, by working in charity shops, and helping at our varied fundraising and information events.
CLAN seeks to appoint an energetic and pro-active Trusts & Giving Manager to assume full responsibility for further growing and developing this core income stream. The appointee will be responsible for identifying new trust fundraising opportunities and securing available funding, whilst building long-term and mutually advantageous relationships. Existing trust relationships must also be nurtured optimising opportunities for further funding. The appointee will also be tasked with further establishing existing successful legacy and regular giving initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Income Generation & Business Development and assuming line management responsibility for a trust fundraiser you will play a key role in a focussed, dynamic and successful fundraising team.
Candidates will be capable of demonstrating a successful track record of securing trust and/or grant funding and possess the commercial and written skills to compile compelling submissions. An ability to develop and sustain positive relationships both internally and externally is critical, as is the aptitude to make a positive contribution to the fundraising team and the broader CLAN organisation.
